What we have to offer Consultants
As a consultant you have two options when working with us. You may work as:
When you have your own company!
You may choose to work from your own company and subcontract through us to our clients. We are happy to find you contracts and invoice for your work. An agreement will be drawn up between your company and ours. At the end of each month you will invoice us and we will pay your tax invoice into your nominated account by the 15th of the new month. This option has many advantages to you and if you are thinking of starting up a company you should discuss these with your accountant or business consultant. The advantages of going through CyberNet are:
  • You can continue to maintain independence as a consultant
  • We'll collect payment from the client
  • We'll pay direct into your company's account
  • We'll provide company support (as required) when you're going for a contract
  • We can provide extra resources to assist if the project grows
  • We can help determine what rate the client should be charged

As an employee of CyberNet!
CyberNet Consulting finds work for a number of individual consultants and sub-contracting companies. This is how we normally operate. However, sometimes individual consultants have the opportunity to pick up work themselves outside of the CyberNet client base and may be required by the prospective client to set themselves up as a company or registered business. If this is the case they then have to consider whether it will be worthwhile, long-term, to go through the expense and fuss of setting up their own business.

Working through an existing company that provides the simplicity of being an employee while maintaining the financial rewards and flexibility of consulting. For a small administrative fee CyberNet can assist consultants in this endeavour.

The advantages of going through CyberNet instead of setting up your own company are as follows:
  • You won't have the cost of setting up a company
  • You'll have a scheduled pay into a nominated account
  • You won't have the administrative hassles regarding GST and BAS
  • You won't have any administration regarding PAYG and superannuation
  • You'll have no problem with the 80/20 rule
  • You can show regular employment through us to get loans, etc
  • You can continue to maintain independence as a consultant
  • We'll collect payment from the client - your pay is not dependent on end client payment
  • We'll contribute to your own nominated superannuation fund
  • We'll organise salary sacrifice for part of your salary to go into superannuation if requested
  • We'll provide company support (as required) when you're going for a contract
  • We can provide extra resources to assist if the project grows
  • We can help determine what rate the client should be charged
If you decide that you'll consider working on a CyberNet project (not one you have negotiated yourself) when your current project comes to an end you'll have the advantages above plus the following:
  • We'll look for work for you before your contract finishes
  • We'll provide a wide variety of types of projects
  • We'll provide opportunities to work with a range of clients in different industry sectors
  • We'll provide support (as required) while you're on-the-job
  • We'll provide opportunities to work interstate and overseas (if interested)
  • We'll offer you a competitive rate for your services
